Making Your Own Vegan Fruity Popsicles

Making Your Own Vegan Fruity Popsicles

Summer weather not only brings out shorts and sunnies, but it reintroduces summer treats. There’s so much room to play with fruity summer treats such as smoothies, fruit bowls, ice creams or mixed drinks. Recently during a visit to Kitchen Stuff Plus, I came across a popsicle mold set, which allows you to create your own popsicles using whatever filler you want.

I chose to make popsicles with three different fruit combinations that I typically drink in a smoothie.

What you’ll need:

In order to accomplish this diy popsicle, you’ll need to purchase a popsicle mold set similar to the one I used. I purchased mine from Kitchen Stuff Plus (here) but there are many stores around that offer the same kind.

Next, I got together the ingredients for my popsicle mixes. I decided to make 2 berry popsicles, 2 orange-banana, and 2 strawberry bananas.

I mixed fresh and frozen fruit as well.

Orange-banana popsicle:

1 small orange
2 small bananas
1 tbsp flaxseeds
¼ c Coconut water

Note: The quantities for each popsicle are really small since I was making enough to fill two containers of the popsicle mold.

Strawberry banana popsicle:

4-5 strawberries
1 banana
¼ c almond milk
½ apple

Berry Popsicle:

½ c frozen berry mix
½ cucumber
¼ c almond milk

Put ingredients in blender and add them to the popsicle containers.
Freeze the popsicles for about 3-5 hours.

These are perfect for a midday summer snack!
