Worth the Grind

Stability is something that we all strive for. It may be stability while in your career, relationship, religion, or any other aspect of your life.  Regardless, we want to firmly plant on our feet (hypothetically, that is) so that we can move through our day-to-day lives efficiently. Being stable is parallel to being consistent; once you find yourself doing something consistently, you’re contributing to your stability.

I want you all to think about where you are in your life and ask yourself, are you where you want to be? Really recognize your goals and measure how far you’ve come to accomplishing them.  It doesn’t really matter where you are, but this is a moment of truth and opportunity. Are you being your best you? Do you have the necessary tools to continue to build your empire?  If not, this is the moment where you stop, reflect and take action. It’s time to take action on YOU!

I’ve recently experienced a great deal of change and I can admit this is not an easy process. I had a self-talk and asked, “do you really want this?” In this moment, I had to be utterly honest with myself because I was at a turning point. I could go either left or right, it was my choice. I chose the latter, why be mediocre when there is an opportunity to be great.  I realized that being stagnant is poisonous to growth, so I removed what was necessary from my life and gained what will attribute to my future. This is all a shift in the right direction. I’ve never been so uncomfortable, but I am in beast mode. I challenge myself each and every day to think positively and purposely step out of my comfort zone. This is what makes us great! Self-challenging and a beast-mode mindset will kick you into high gear.

I’ve shared this with you because I want you to understand that progression does not happen without change. It’s okay to be uncomfortable; realize in that moment an opportunity exists for you to be the best you. There is an opportunity of turning left or right; YOU choose how you move through that process. Adapt a “beast-mode” mindset and grind through the change. Grind through the long nights and missed parties. Your real friends will be with you through it all and will see you once the grind is over. Understand, that the grind does get easier along the way.

Right now, I am grinding to the finish line, so I am speaking from experience. Make each and every day you wake up, worth it! Everything that you do on a day-to-day basis contributes to your one big goal. I want you all to realize where you want to be and fight to get there! Understand that working toward accomplishing your goal every day comes with some blood, sweat, and tears.  Nothing has ever been easy for us, but with the right mind set we can do anything.

Lastly, know yourself and be aware of your goals. Know why you wake up every day and understand why you are grinding. Know your grind and respect it, you’re worth every blood, sweat, and tear.
