Born to Be Fierce: An Interview with Confidence Coach Taria Pritchett
I first came in contact with Taria when I found her challenge to “Unleash Your Fierce” via social media about two years ago. Taria was so unapologetically bold and confident-she radiated success and I wanted to develop that for myself. I took her challenge and had my eyes opened to my potential and what type of person I was capable of becoming. In this interview, we are will get to explore what brought Taria to where she is now as a Confident Coach, as well as learn what we can do to unleash our inner fierce ourselves!
Tell us a bit about yourself and why you started "Unleash Your Fierce".
I am a millennial empowerment powerhouse who is affectionately called "The Next Oprah Winfrey", and an intuitive confidence coach for women who want to get their sh*t together by owning their worth, attracting the right men, and stepping into their purpose. Recently I was recognized one of the "10 Winning Women Who Are Changing the Game in their Own Lanes by Women by Choice. I am also a transformational speaker and the creator of Powerfully Positioned Woman Academy. Selected as one of Delaware’s Top 40 under 40 before the age of 25 and featured in Huffington Post, GlambitiousIAm, and Delaware Online; I am now the proud author of the book, Born FIERCE: How to Unleash the Confident Woman Within.
I started "Unleash Your FIERCE" five years ago after a failed relationship in which I realized that I was worthy of more. I set out a journey to learn how to become a powerful and confident woman. In the process, I began blogging about my journey and those tips and wisdom soon turned into a coaching business.
You wrote a book called "Born Fierce", what can readers expect from reading your book?
In my book, readers can expect to learn a simple three step process that any woman can go through to lift herself up and boost her confidence like I did after that failed relationship. Born FIERCE will show you how to see your true worth & value, how to release emotional baggage that blocks your fierce, and how to fall in love with yourself. Readers can also get a companion workbook and affirmation poster to apply the wisdom shared by purchasing an ebook or paperback book through Amazon.
What’s the best advice you ever received?
The best advice I have ever received was to SURRENDER! To let go and just be open to what was for me coming to me. It allowed me the opportunity to be happier and to be in alignment with my highest good. It brings a level of peace to your life that surpasses all understanding. My hope is to help other women experience this incredible and divine feeling.
Who are your biggest influences? Who do you admire most? Who or what inspired you to do what you’re doing now?
My biggest influence is God who is constantly and consistently guiding my path, and as a result I have been led to learn from and be inspired by a number of successful black female entrepreneurs who have blessed me with their wisdom such as Shannon Evette, Tiphani Montgomery, Amber Aziza, Tiana Von Johnson, and Stacia Pierce to name a few.
What is still your biggest challenge?
My biggest challenge that I am super ambitious and have many ideas that I want to execute sooner rather than later. However, this is a good challenge because it means I always have a new level I am evolving into during various seasons of my life.
What are your favorite books or movies on Developing Confidence?
My favorite book on developing confidence is "Worthy" by Shannon Evette and Sacred Bombshell by Abiola Abrahams. Both give you tons of wisdom on inner healing, truth, courage, and spiritual based principles for becoming the woman you are destined to be. The movie that I use with clients often times is Gina Price-Bythewood's 'Beyond the Lights' because to me it is an excellent depiction of a woman's inner healing evolution into becoming her unapologetic and FIERCE self.
What’s next for you?
I am opening the doors again to my bestselling coaching program, "Powerfully Positioned Woman Academy", focusing more on speaking around the world, building a membership platform for my community, and launching a FIERCE product line next year.
What do you want your legacy to be? How do you want to be remembered?
I want my legacy to be one that is everlasting. My hope is to leave a lasting impacting on women for generations to come by becoming the best version of myself, but by also serving those who I feel called to serve. Through this service in the women's empowerment industry, my hope is to build wealth, leave wisdom, and create sacred spaces for women to connect, collaborate, coexist, and create all across the world.
How do you balance work and family demands?
This has been one of my more challenging areas in recent years since I am very ambitious, however, I have learned to listen in to my body when it needs rest. I have also learned the importance of maintaining and creating new connections which helps me to become better in every area of my life. As a result, I consciously make time for family even more now, and now know when it's time to turn off my laptop and relax or connect with family.
