Soul Food: 7 Inspiring Scriptures You Need To Know

By: Courtney Grayton

A friend once shared something extremely eye-opening to me. He (IG: @armanidmc) shared that when you have passion, it drives you to work hard at what you want to achieve. However, in the pursuit of passions, every now and then everyone needs a little inspiration to keep going. While passion typically never goes away, inspiration is something that does fade afterwhile as one is faced with new experiences and hardships. For this reason, inspiration must constantly be replenished. That concept has stuck with me to this day, so I make sure to look for inspiration on a daily basis to keep me active in working towards my passions.

It is my goal with the following scriptures that you will be inspired today, and that you will use this post as a source of regular inspiration in the days, weeks, and months to come, as you pursue your passions. Remaining motivated takes conscious effort. Without it, you risk falling behind as the unproductive days add up.

If your year has been anything like mine so far, you have had every reason to give up on your dreams. It feels like life continues to hand you everything that it can possibly throw at you to knock you off track.

You might actually be having the best year and it seems like things are looking up for you!

Whatever it may be, God has you exactly where you are because He needs you to grow. He needs you to learn and take these lessons with you to the next level. Let’s CLAIM our golden ticket to the next level! I hope these scriptures bless you and inspire you to keep running diligently towards the finish line and to rely on God as He guides you there.

1. “Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!" Luke 1:45

2. “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

3. “Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way.” 2 Thessalonians 3:16

4. “And we know that in all things God works for the good for those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28

5. “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should do; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” Psalm 32:8

6. “She is clothed in strength & dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.” Proverbs 31:25

7. “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, as in fact, you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Pray this prayer with me:

Dear God,

Thank You for being all-knowing and planning my life out before I was formed in my mother’s womb. Thank You for blessing me with these special gifts to carry out my purpose here on earth. I know that where I am today is exactly where You want me to be at this present time. I pray that You continue to reveal to me Your will for my life. Please give me Your strength and remind me to trust You when the paths aren’t always clear to me. Speak to me through these scriptures and help me to hide Your Word in my heart for peace and daily inspiration. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
